Collaboration: RVNDM x DISTANT (Official Collab)
The Moongod Hoodie is the result of a profound collaboration with the band DISTANT. Inspired by their monumental work "Tsukuyomi: The Origin," I attempted to compress the visual violence of the album into a wearable work of art.
- Hand-dyeing:Unique, vertically split dyeing in yellow and red – a direct homage to the color scheme of the Tsukuyomi artwork.
- Typography & Prints:A symbiosis of lyrics and the design languages of RVNDM and Distant, implemented in English and Japanese characters.
- Signature Hardware:The characteristic RVNDM chain replaces the classic hood drawstring, giving the piece an industrial weight.
- Detailing:The high-quality, woven cotton patch – a signature element of my hoodies – is precisely placed next to the kangaroo pocket.
This project was about not just depicting the atmosphere of the album, but making it haptically tangible. Every detail, from the elaborate patch to the metallic hardware, was curated and finalized by me in the 414 Studio. It is the fusion of Japanese aesthetics and the uncompromising heaviness that defines both Distant and RVNDM.
This hoodie is not ordinary merchandise, but rather a handcrafted extension of the musical concept and is much more at home in the fashion scene. A unique piece for those who want to not just hear music, but wear its story.
